Here’s one I came across today:
”nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced.” – Albert Einstein
He was referencing the prohibition laws at the time and the increase in crime as a result, but I think the quote still works out of context. It has caused me to think of kinds of the laws the politicians create to make it look like they’re doing something without actually doing something. And here we sit today with people angry at the government or at best feeling apathy towards the government and it’s always the other guys fault.
I guess ol’ Albert may have known more than just physics…
Why is it that the people smart enough to do a great job at running our country (like Einstein) are so smart that they don’t want to be associated with or known as politicians.
