This is why Wisconsin is not viewed as some kind of cultural or intellectual mecca.  Generally we’re not this stupid.  Generally, we have an IQ bigger than our shoe size.  Unfortunately, that won’t sell newspapers, cause website hits or cause you to tune in to the news at 10.  Guys like this moron get into the media instead.

I’m a die hard Packer fan.  All of my kids have some sort of Packer garment.  My daughter doesn’t like to wear them because she tells me she doesn’t like the Packers.  Doesn’t like the Packers?!?!?!?  She can’t possibly know what she’s saying!!  What she knows is that she’s 4 years old, she likes purple and dresses.  She doesn’t get football, but she does like those Vikings uniforms as opposed to those green and yellow ones.  Blasphemy!!

Instead of duct taping her to a chair and taping her Packers jacket to her, we sat down and played dress up with some teddy bears while the Packers took it to the Seahawks.  She got to do her favorite thing, and I got to watch the game for the  low, low price of putting a pink tutu on a brown teddy bear named Za-za.

I know the DA says there is nothing legally they can do because parents are allowed to restrain their children as long as there is no lasting emotional distress, but come on.  This one doesn’t pass the common sense test.  He’s a moron, all of us know he’s a moron, and he needs to be informed he’s a moron and that’s not how you treat your kids.  Over a Packer jersey for Chrissakes!! 

Whoa…sorry I seemed to be channeling Nancy Grace there for a moment.  But, honestly, we’re not all a bunch of slack-jawed yokels.  Most of us are intelligent, down to earth people who don’t terrorize our kids over our favorite sports franchise.  At least I hope so.
