I am stunned by people’s insistence that Michael Vick did nothing wrong.  In this article R.L. White and Stephon Marbury are quoted as saying that if he had been hunting no one would be upset.  The only reason people are upset is because it was a dog. White even goes so far to say that people are treating Vick worse than they would have if he had killed a human being rather than a dog.

“His crime is, it was a dog,” White said.

Um, yeah, dumb ass.  Dog fighting is illegal.  Dog fighting is not a sport as Marbury suggests.  It is a criminal activity.  Hunting is not — as long as you have a license.  BTW – it was not one dog but the last total was 8 dogs and he’s pleading to conspriacy charges.  It’s up to Boss Hog — whoops there I go again — I mean, Gerald Poindexter to decide whether or not to prosecute him for actually killing dogs.

And I guarantee you that if this was a plea for having killed a human being, we would not even be debating whether or not he should be allowed back into the league after serving his sentence.  He would instantly be banned for life.  Well, that and if he killed a person he’d be too old to play the game by the time he got out.
