Why? Look at the division. They currently stand more than 10 games ahead of everyone else in the division with the exception of the Cubs. The Cubs are 7.5 games back with a series at Wrigley Field starting tomorrow for the Crew and the rest of the Brewers schedule looks like cake up to the All-Star break. It is possible for the Brewers to have a 10 game lead on all of the division at the break. Even if they fell apart, you’re looking at almost a month before another team could catch them. They can’t keep up a 12-2 pace for ever, but if they stay north of .500 ball it will be difficult for the other teams in the central to dig out of the hole their in.
